Federal Background Check
You think federal background check and
images of secret dossiers with your name and
picture on it come to mind, in the hands and
under the ever watchful eye of an FBI agent.
Does this sound like the start to a plot
from a new movie release or could it really
be? Lots of people wonder about “Big
brother” watching over their every move as
national security has become such a
fore-front topic in recent years due to all
the threats and terrorist attacks around the
globe and on US soil and the imminent threat
still very much alive? Why would someone
need a federal background check you might
ask? And the answer is equally
straightforward: to learn as much as you
possibly can about someone else, say who
will be appointed in a pivotal position of
power, influence and trust like national
security? Would like to know if your major
has any affiliations to extremist groups?
What about the local pharmacist mixing your
medication?
We teach our kids not to talk to
strangers and trust no one. Then we grow up
and have to live in the real world where we
meet strangers everyday, all around us and
we are placed in situations and
relationships where we need to trust others
wholeheartedly – there is something just
fundamentally wrong with this picture! For
the purposes of this discussion however we
highlight the fact that federal background
checks are common practice in employee
hiring screening and identity verification
investigations and background checks.
